NISI XPRESSO Named Award Finalist For World Yachts Trophy
September 8, 2014, Miami, Florida: NISI Yachts is pleased to announce its recently debuted NISI 50 XPRESSO – GTX50 (15m/54’) – has been chosen as a finalist for the 2014 World Yachts Trophy for “Most Innovative Design” among yachts under 24 meters.
GTX50 is the first model to be released in NISI’s new XPRESSO multihull series. Recent sea-trials yielded 35-knot top and 31-knot cruise speeds. She is driven by twin Cummins 550hp plus Zeus Pods. The builder reports Volvo IPS pod propulsion system is also available.
Finalists include the Sacs Strider 18M and the Cranchi Eco Trawler 53’LD in the Innovation category. The World Yachts Trophy is the most prestigious award of its kind and is awarded annually to select yachts by the World Yachts Trophies Committee in Cannes, France. Having made her European debut at the 2011 Cannes International Boat Show, inaugural model NISI 2400 was the 2011 Trophy Winner for “Best Design of the Year” in the under 24-meter category. NISI’s groundbreaking designs infuse casual opulence, legendary styling and unsurpassed engineering and safety across all model sizes.

The trophy will be awarded in Cannes on September 13th, at the World Yachts Trophies gala ceremony, hosted by LuxMedia Group, and is considered one of the highlight events of the Cannes International Boat Show.
